Ben Brown’s long reach in the marking contest makes the life of opposition defenders difficult enough as it is, but if he can continue to leap like Friday night he’ll become near impossible to play on.

The number 50’s spectacular grab against Essendon defender Jason Ashby in the first quarter has been nominated for Mark of the Year.

Brown launched himself at the back of a pack in the forward pocket, taking the mark at full extension to bring the North crowd to its feet.
