After a rewarding five year association, The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel and North Melbourne Football Club have announed a new partnership, providing a home-away-from-home in Hobart for North players, officials and fans.
Old Woolstore CEO Ben Targett today signed the new three-year agreement with North Melbourne Managing Director and CEO Carl Dilena at the club’s Arden Street headquarters.
“We have forged a strong relationship with North Melbourne and this new deal builds on that, but it also presents some exciting new opportunities to promote our hotel and support the Club when they play in Hobart.
“Footy fans travel all-year-round, so we look forward to looking after the North faithful whenever they visit Hobart.
“The Kangaroos also are leaders in community engagement with their Huddle initiative, and this year the Next Generation Academy will provide an exciting opportunity for young Tasmanian footballers. As a local business, we think we can play a positive role in making the most of these programs.”
Mr Dilena said the club was looking forward to building further on its relationship with The Old Woolstore.
“Every year our players, coaches and staff absolutely love staying at The Old Woolstore whenever we are in Hobart,” Mr Dilena said.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our already strong partnership in the years ahead and with a range of programs, events and initiatives planned throughout the year, we’re really excited by what we can achieve working closely with everyone at The Old Woolstore.”
The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel is a multi-award winning 242 room property, conveniently located near Hobart’s waterfront precinct.
In 2017 North Melbourne will play at Blundstone Arena against GWS Giants (April 8), Adelaide Crows (May 6) and Melbourne (July 29).
