Scott Thompson has passed a final fitness test and has been given the green light to return on Sunday against Melbourne in Hobart.
The key-defender will give the Roos some more options in defence to contend with the likes of Jesse Hogan.
Thompson was a late withdrawal from the side's Round 2 encounter with the Lions at the GABBA with general soreness, but has been deemed fit and was able to train solidly on Thursday.

North will be looking to extend its six game winning streak at Blundstone Arena, and win its 15th straight game against the Demons.
