Daniel Wells’ superb game against Collingwood has been rewarded with a perfect 10 votes from Brad Scott and Nathan Buckley.
The 31-year-old’s 29 disposals – 11 of which came in the first quarter – played a large role in helping North to snap its five-game losing streak.
It’s the sixth game Wells has earned votes in – only Todd Goldstein (eight) and Jack Ziebell (eight) have polled more often.
Sam Gibson’s 33 disposals (a game-high) resulted in seven votes. It was the midfielder’s first votes since Round 12, and his second-highest of the season after his perfect 10 in Round 8.
The three remaining Roos to poll all did so for the first time this season, and in the case of Ryan Clarke, in his career.
Clarke, the newest Rising Star nominee, received three votes for his 27-disposal game. The youngster stood up when the game was on the line, collecting 11 of his disposals in the last quarter.
For being the best forward on the ground, Lindsay Thomas finished with four votes for his five goals and 15 disposals. Meanwhile Drew Petrie polled one for his two goals, 14 disposals and team-high seven tackles.
