“He started really well, and hit the scoreboard a bit more than he has in the past.
“It was another string to his bow.
“He came into the year with a bit of a target on his back based on his year last year and the All-Australian selection and he handled that well.
“Then he had the injury about halfway through the year, and at times he was able to play close to his best, but there were chunks where he struggled to have the influence around the ground.
“His season probably mirrored ours to an extent, so we’re looking to him for a big bounce back year next year.”
