North Melbourne is more than comfortable with the current games model in Tasmania according to Ben Buckley.
The new club chairman told The Herald Sun that the club wasn’t looking beyond the current contract that ended in 2021.
"We don't have any intention to go beyond that," Buckley stated.
"We've got 7000 members in Tasmania and that is growing and gives us access to a new supporter base.
"There's some exciting times ahead."
North will play against Adelaide, Melbourne and GWS at Blundstone Arena in 2017 with more sell-out crowds expected. The team also travels to Launceston to play Hawthorn as a fourth fixture on the apple isle.
"We've got a good agreement that is working very well and we're going to invest substantially in building an academy down there."
As for Tasmania becoming a one-team state, Buckley said: "That's not even in our thinking. We are really satisfied with the three games down there at the moment.”
