While many players across the AFL were enjoying a break, Jarrad Waite was lending a hand at a Melbourne animal sanctuary on Monday.

Waite and wife Jackie made a special visit to Edgar’s Mission in Lancefield, with the chance to appreciate the amazing work being done to care for farm animals who’ve been orphaned or abused.

Among his new-found friends, 400 kilogram pig Max.
