Andrew Swallow has declared himself ready to face the Crows on Thursday night after missing last week’s game due to concussion.

Speaking at Melbourne Airport before North’s flight to Adelaide on Wednesday, the club captain was emphatic in his availability for the Roos' last match before the bye.

“I’m definitely playing,” Swallow said.

“I got through training yesterday and was able to do everything I needed to do.

“I was really close to playing last week, I felt good but the doctors thought I probably needed that week to get myself 100 per cent right. I had a couple of headaches early (last) week but other than that I was pretty good.

“It was more being conservative than anything. I’m feeling good and ready to go.”

After a weekend off, fallout from the loss to Hawthorn was dealt with on Monday.

“Brad spoke to us on Monday and that was how we dealt with it. Since then we’ve moved on.

“That’s all beyond the players’ control. As the leader of the club I want to make sure the guys are now focused and switched on.”

The focus is now solely on an Adelaide side which won its last four games before the Round 13 bye.

“They touched us up last year, so we want to make sure we come out and have a really good start.”

“Adelaide’s form before the bye was outstanding. To go over to Perth and beat West Coast in the manner they did, they’re going to be really tough to match up against.”
