1983 Brownlow Medalist Ross Glendinning will be recognised as an AFL Life Member.
Glendinning will become a Life Member under the provision of ‘Special Service to the Game’ and will be inducted at the league’s Annual General Meeting in March.
A two-time Syd Barker Medalist, Glendinning was named at centre half-back in North Melbourne’s Team of the Century and inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame in 2012.
He played a total of 190 games for North between 1978 and 1986, kicking 214 goals.
Glendinning was also the West Coast Eagles' inaugural captain in 1987.
Glendinning is one of 11 new Life Member inductees, with the likes of Gary Ablett Jr, Luke Hodge and Jarrad McVeigh among those to have their award confirmed by the AFL Commission.
