West Coast could be without two premiership defenders when it faces North Melbourne at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Skipper Shannon Hurn was a late out with a calf before the Eagles’ win over Melbourne on Sunday, while Jeremy McGovern suffered an ankle injury late in the game. 

With only a six-day break between games, Hurn and McGovern will face a race against the clock to prove their fitness. 

The Eagles may however be boosted by the return of Will Schofield, who is a chance to be recalled.
