Living legend Brent Harvey will return to Etihad Stadium in Round 13 when the Roos prepare to do battle with the Saints.
The AFL games record holder will be welcomed back to the venue – where he played 169 games – to watch as his famous No.29 is retired indefinitely.
‘Boomer’ played 432 games in the jumper and fittingly, broke Michael Tuck’s then games record of 426 at the venue against St Kilda last year.
North will celebrate Harvey’s contributions to the club by giving him a special tribute that will involve unfurling his jumper from the rafters, a lap of honour before the players warm up and speeches on the ground in the lead-up to the match.
The Roos have already paid homage to Allen Aylett and Michael Firrito this season, with the Harvey celebration set to be the biggest yet.
It’s an occasion no Kangaroo supporter should miss.
Make sure you get to the game early and pay tribute to one of North’s greatest ever players.
More information on the Brent Harvey celebrations will be posted next week.
We'll be celebrating Brent Harvey's amazing contribution to the club next Friday night against the Saints.
