North Melbourne will display some added flair and run next season according to new recruit Jared Polec.
The former Port star says he can’t wait to get started at his new club under coach Brad Scott.
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity at North Melbourne,” Polec said.
“There’s a build-up of excitement with getting to start somewhere new again.”
After being courted by North, Polec nominated the Roos as his club of choice weeks before the trade period began.
“It’s definitely a relief to get the move done,” Polec told Channel 9.
“I’m looking forward to learning a new system, a new game plan and a lot more about myself at another club.
“With the extra additions like (Aaron) Hall, (Dom) Tyson and (Jasper) Pittard, we will have some more flair and run.
“I think there will be a lot more creativity about North Melbourne next year.”
Polec said recent discussions with Scott made him realise what was possible at Arden St.
“There’s a lot of upside, and they had a really strong year (in 2018),” he said.
“After talking to Brad, it wasn’t a surprise to them how they went. They knew how close they were and how far they were going to push.”
