Leigh Tudor joins North
North Melbourne is pleased to confirm Leigh Tudor will join the club as a senior assistant coach.
Tudor comes to the Roos after spending time in the coaching box with the Sydney Swans, St Kilda and Geelong.
“We are delighted to have Leigh on board and know he will add a high-level of experience, leadership and expertise to our side next season and beyond,” General Manager Football Operations Jon Haines said.
“Leigh will be responsible for the midfield, working closely with fellow senior assistant coach Darren Crocker. We see this as a valuable addition and critical for the club.”
Tudor has signed a three-year deal and returns to Aegis Park after beginning his playing career with the Kangaroos in 1989.
“I really loved my time at Sydney but it was time to come home for family reasons and I’m thrilled to be coming back to where it all started,” Tudor said.
“I respect the way North has gone about it over the past few seasons and they’re clearly on the rise so I can’t think of a better place to be, it’s exciting for sure.”
Crocker will be in charge of stoppages and opposition, Shane Watson is now forward-line coach and Josh Drummond back-line coach.
