Gun Gold Coast midfielder Aaron Hall will miss the Round 1 clash against North Melbourne in Cairns.
Hall underwent surgery on a finger on his left hand after fracturing it in the Suns’ JLT Series win against the Brisbane Lions, and will be unavailable for the club’s first game of the regular season.
Gold Coast General Manager – Football Operations, Jon Haines, confirmed the injury with the Suns’ website on Friday.
“Aaron Hall presented with some pain after the game on Sunday, we had that assessed by our medical team to consider some options,” Haines said.
“The preferred option was to have some fairly simple surgery.”
Hall is expected to be available for Round 2.
Hall joins Pearce Hanley and Sean Lemmens on the sidelines for Round 1, with Peter Wright also doubtful.
