North Melbourne will be forced to make at least one change to Friday’s line-up to face Essendon, with Luke McDonald failing to have his one-game ban lifted at the Tribunal.
While there were some strong performers in the VFL, North might be unlikely to make wholesale changes after recording its first win on Saturday.
North Media takes a look at those in the mix for selection.
Defenders
With Luke McDonald suspended, Sam Wright is highly fancied to slot into a half-back role. Wright has been in solid form so far in the VFL, and he had another 24 disposals and 7 marks on Saturday.
Midfielders
Bailey Scott was rested for the clash with the Crows and would be fresh to step back into the fold should he be recalled.
After playing the opening three rounds, Dom Tyson put in a strong performance in the VFL with 22 disposals and 8 tackles.
Tom Campbell also responded well to his AFL omission, dominating in the ruck with 62 hit-outs and two goals.
Forwards
Nick Larkey has continued his strong form and finished with 3 goals for the second consecutive week.
Nathan Hrovat has also started the VFL season in excellent fashion, and impressed again on Saturday, racking up 18 disposals and 6 tackles.
Taylor Garner is edging closer to a return but North’s match committee might need a few more weeks in the VFL.
