North Melbourne great Jarrad Waite and 400-game Essendon star Dustin Fletcher will headline this year’s ‘Longest Kick’ activation during the Good Friday blockbuster.
Waite, who kicked 377 goals in his 244 AFL games will go up against Fletcher, renowned for his torpedo punts from full-back.
The pair will be joined by Neighbours’ star Matt Wilson and Aussie entertainer Johnny Ruffo.
North’s major partner Mazda will sponsor Wilson, the Roos’ players and the AFL Players’ Association will be supporting Waite, while AMart Furniture will sponsor Fletcher and Ruffo.
For each metre kicked, the respective sponsors will donate $100 to the Good Friday Appeal.
Fans are encouraged to be in their seat at quarter-time to cheer on the four participants.
Then it’s onto half-time, where Wayne Carey and Matthew Lloyd will face off to raise more money for the Good Friday Appeal.
