North’s skipper Andrew Swallow is well and truly back in AFL Fantasy stakes, after a dominant best-on-ground performance in the Kangaroos’ 50-point win over the Bulldogs.

Swallow had a game-high score of 129 points, coming from 29 disposals and his trademark tackling skills - he totaled 11 for the game.

The midfielder also managed 10 clearances for the game, the most of any player on the ground, and delivered the ball inside 50 on 7 occasions.

Swallow's tally of 129 points was the highest he has scored this year, and his best effort since Round 1, 2013.

He wasn’t alone in putting up big fantasy numbers however. Sam Gibson was at his best, recording 31 disposals and a goal for 126 fantasy points.

Ben Cunnington was quiet early on, but amazingly booted 4 goals in the final term to push his score up to 116 for the day.

Drew Petrie (109) kicked 2 goals for the day, while Levi Greenwood (98) and Todd Goldstein (93) were in good form.

Brent Harvey was at his best for three quarters of the game and finished on a score of 91 points. However, he went missing in the second term, unable to gather a disposal under a heavy tag from Liam Picken.

Daniel Wells was one of the best stories of the day, his return going off without a hitch. North’s reigning Syd Barker Medalist had 18 disposals and laid 7 tackles on his way to 88 fantasy points.

Ben Brown (86) kicked 2 goals, as did Aaron Black (79).

Around the Grounds

It was a weekend of fantasy carnage as many of the AFL’s best fantasy players contracted unexpected injuries.

It started on Saturday night when fantasy stalwart Scott Pendlebury was a late out for Collingwood’s match against the Lions with a quad concern. Jamie Elliott also missed the match as a late out.

Then it hit the Pies, hard – Dayne Beams, Travis Cloke and Ben Reid all succumbed to season-ending injuries. The remnants of Collingwood’s side could only look on as the Lions leapt to a 67-point win.

That night also saw Brisbane’s Tom Rockliff overtake Dane Swan on the all-time highest fantasy average table. Rockliff needs another 266 points in his two remaining games to clinch the title.

Injuries hit again on Sunday, this time targeting the young Giants. Co-captains Callan Ward and Phil Davis were both out of the game early, while Jon Patton suffered a second ACL injury.
