North Melbourne has secured its second highest membership figure with a total of 42,419 in 2019.
In its 150th year, North’s on-field success and development of younger players have been key factors in the uplift.
“We are extremely grateful for the unwavering support of our members and the loyalty they have shown during a challenging start to the year,” North managing director & CEO Carl Dilena said.
“We are confident the appointment of Rhyce Shaw as senior coach and Brady Rawlings as head of football will hold the club in good stead moving forward.
“We know the changes we have made will only strengthen us for the future.”
Despite a slow start to the season, North is now knocking on the door of finals.
“We’ve shown we can match it with, and beat the best when we play to our strengths,” Dilena added.
“We’ve had four Rising Star nominees this year, a club record, which is a testament to what we are building at Arden St.
“It’s pleasing to see so many members sharing in our vision for future success.”
The successful introduction of the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos has also had a major impact.
“Our AFLW team has fit in seamlessly and created a real buzz,” Dilena said.
“The support we received across Melbourne and Tasmania was really encouraging and we’re looking forward to the season ahead.”
