December 6 marks six years since North Melbourne rejected relocation to the Gold Coast.

With a target of 40,000 members for 2014, debt rapidly diminishing and a raft of key on and off-field appointments, things have turned around dramatically in recent years.

However, Kangaroos’ fans will never forget the events that led to that fateful day at Dallas Brooks Hall.

To mark the anniversary of this historic occasion, North’s official Twitter history handle @NMFCHistory will be recounting the story entirely through newspaper clippings in the months leading up to the biggest decision in the club’s history.

It will cover the initial AFL offer, the confusion around what it entailed, the ‘Roosistence’ concert and more.
