It was the players' designated day off on Tuesday, but that didn't stop a group of the Roos' stars from pulling on the boots.
Players from both North Melbourne and St Kilda brought training to the kids, inviting patients at the Royal Children's Hospital outside for some fresh air and a kick of the footy.
“I guess it’s tough at times because there’s people in some unfortunate situations here, but it’s good for us to be able to help in any way that we can,” Ed Vickers-Willis told North Media.

Next, the players visited patients throughout the hospital.
“It’s a real eye-opener ... it’s great to put a smile on the kids’ faces,” Jy Simpkin said.
Among those making visits to some very special kids were captain Jack Ziebell, vice-captain Robbie Tarrant, Shaun Higgins, Ben Brown, Luke McDonald, Jy Simpkin, Ed Vickers-Willis and Todd Goldstein.
They were joined by the Saints' Jarryn Geary, Jack Lonie, Seb Ross, Ed Phillips, Luke Dunstan, Josh Bruce, Hugh Goddard and Blake Acres.
Friday's Kick for the Kids match will help raise funds for the Royal Children's Hospital with several fundraising initiatives, including $5 from every ticket being donated directly to the Good Friday Appeal.
