From Recruiting Manager Bryce Lewis
"We’ve been following Matthew for a while, he’s a 19-year-old that played 19 games of league footy for Perth Football Club this year.
"He’s a mid/defender who has genuine speed and kicks the ball really well.
"He played nationals for WA last year, but more in a lock down role.
"We’ve been following him for a couple of years and we were happy with the progress made coming from the juniors into senior footy this year.
"He was originally off a farm and moved down to Perth to go to a boarding school and further his footy, but he’s also actually a handy tennis player."
