North Melbourne has finalised a trade to secure Western Bulldogs premiership player Caleb Daniel.
The Roos receive Daniel for 2024 Telstra AFL Draft selection No.25.
A dynamic small defender, Daniel has played 192 games since being drafted by the Bulldogs with pick No.46 in 2014.
The 28-year-old was part of the Bulldogs’ drought-breaking premiership in 2016 before going on to claim the club’s best and fairest and All-Australian honours in 2020.
He has also been a member of the Bulldogs’ leadership group since 2022.
North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said the club was excited to welcome another finals-experienced player to the list.
“Caleb is an elite kick and decision-maker, who will add composure to our defensive mix,” Rawlings said.
“He is also an experienced leader and knows what success looks like having played in a premiership, so will be able to offer plenty of support and insight to our young list both on and off the field.
“We look forward to welcoming Caleb to the club.”
North Melbourne currently holds picks No. 2 and 62 in the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft and all selections in 2025 draft.
