Erika O'Shea's possible return could boost the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos as they face rivals Melbourne at Casey Fields on Sunday.

The pacy Irish star missed Week 2's bruising draw against Geelong due to a knee injury, but has been named in the Kangaroos' extended squad for Sunday's game.

Forward Alice O'Loughlin is another potential inclusion, having been named in the squad after serving her one-match suspension.

O'Loughlin began the season in sparkling form, kicking two goals in the Roos' opening win against the Brisbane Lions. However she brought down Lion Shannon Campbell in a tackle late in the game and was handed a ban for rough conduct, forcing her to miss last week's clash with Geelong.

Defender Sarah Wright and forward Bella Eddey have both been named on the ground for what will be their milestone 50th AFLW games.

Lucy Burke is the Kangaroos' only omission at this stage, after making her club debut against the Cats.

The Roos will be determined to return to winning ways against the Demons, who have so far faced the same two opponents as North Melbourne. The Dees edged the Cats by two points in Week 1, before losing to Brisbane by three goals last weekend.

The Kangaroos will finalise their selected team on Friday at 5pm AEST.
