North Melbourne's Paul Curtis has earned a NAB AFL Goal of the Year nomination for his sensational finish from the pocket against the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After Cam Zurhaar opened the Roos' account 18 minutes into the first quarter, Curtis zipped through a forward-50 contest 90 seconds later and curled home a beauty from a difficult angle.

The 21-year-old has made a habit of securing Goal of the Year nods, having claimed two in consecutive weeks during the 2023 season thanks to his stellar majors against the Power in Tassie and Swans at Marvel Stadium.

Curtis is up against Collingwood players Jordan De Goey and Nick Daicos for the outright Round 16 nomination.
