Three Kangaroos have been awarded AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year Award votes following North Melbourne's agonising loss to Collingwood on Sunday.
Midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke was judged equal-best afield by Roos senior coach Alastair Clarkson and Pies senior coach Craig McRae, polling eight votes alongside Collingwood small forward Bobby Hill.
Davies-Uniacke proved difficult to contain at the contest for a second straight week, finishing the clash with game-highs in disposals (31), inside 50s (eight), and clearances (seven).
Working by his side was youngster George Wardlaw (30 disposals, three goal assists, one goal) who arguably put together his most outstanding performance as a Roo to date, boosting his chances of taking home the Telstra AFL Rising Star Award at season's end.
His first quarter was particularly a sight to behold as the dogged No.6 amassed 12 possessions, five score involvements and three inside 50s for the period.
He earned five votes, while big man Tristan Xerri continued to impress, receiving one vote after tallying 30 hitouts, six tackles, and two goals.
