North Melbourne has made three changes to its side to face Brisbane at Norwood Oval in Gather Round.
Charlie Comben will play his first AFL game of the 2024 season, and his first since suffering a high-grade syndesmosis injury and fibula fracture in Round 7 last year.
The 22-year-old featured across the opening two rounds of the VFL season, impressing behind the ball to earn a call-up from North Melbourne coach Alastair Clarkson and the match committee.
Also named to make his first senior appearance of 2024 is Hugh Greenwood, while fellow veteran Liam Shiels comes into the side for his second match of the campaign.
Making way is Callum Coleman-Jones - who was ruled out for the remainder of the season after rupturing his Achilles in the Good Friday SuperClash - as well as Toby Pink and Charlie Lazzaro.
Shiels, Greenwood, Zane Duursma, Darcy Tucker, and Eddie Ford have been named on the interchange bench, with the tactical sub to be chosen from that group and announced an hour before Friday's 5.10pm AEDT opening bounce.
Pink, Tyler Sellers, and Blake Drury are this week's emergencies.
Although North Melbourne's VFL team has a bye this weekend, Kangas fans can catch Jack Watkins and Sam Lowson in action for the VFL's State Team in the state game against the SANFL on Saturday, April 6 at 1:10pm AEDT.
