Kayne Turner could miss a month of football, after injuring his hamstring on Friday night.
The young forward came off the ground late in the first quarter and played no further part in the Round 6 win over the Bulldogs.
North Director of Football Geoff Walsh said scans confirmed damage to the hamstring tendon for the 20-year-old.
“Unfortunately for Kayne and the club, the injury will keep him on the sidelines for about four weeks,” Walsh told NMFC.com.au.
Turner injured his hamstring during the club’s opening NAB Challenge match against St Kilda in Wangaratta. He then struggled to make it back, finally returning to the senior side for the Round 5 encounter with the Suns on the Gold Coast.
“We’re confident he’ll be able to make a solid impact when he returns in the second half of the season,” Walsh added.
