The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have finalised their list for the 2024 AFLW season after signing Irish talent Bláithín Bogue in the Supplementary Selection Period.
Hailing from Fermanagh, Ireland, the 23-year-old arrives at Arden Street with a strong background in Gaelic football, including Player of the Match honours in the 2022 All-Ireland Junior Ladies’ final.
She becomes the fourth Irish player on the Kangaroos’ list alongside Erika O’Shea, Niamh Martin and Vikki Wall, who have joined the program in recent seasons from Cork, Tipperary and Meath respectively.
"We are excited to offer Bláithín our final list spot for the upcoming season," North Melbourne AFLW list manager Flynn Loft said.
"Bláithín has strong athletic traits that will translate well to AFLW and stood out across her performances for Fermanagh, with her ability to set up play in the forward half and consistently hit the scoreboard.
"We can't wait to welcome her into the program."
Bogue becomes the fourth new Roo over the offseason, joining dual AFLW premiership player Libby Birch and draftees Ella Slocombe and Georgia Stubs.
