The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have informed Sophia McCarthy, Charli Granville, Hannah Bowey and Cassidy Mailer they will not be offered contracts for 2024.

McCarthy, Granville and Bowey each played four games in the royal blue and white after joining the Kangaroos in 2022 ahead of Season 7.

Mailer also arrived at Arden Street ahead of Season 7 and leaves without playing at the highest level.

North Melbourne head of women’s football Nathan Hrovat thanked McCarthy, Granville, Bowey and Mailer for their contributions to the club.

"We thank Sophia, Charli, Hannah and Cassidy for everything they have given across their two seasons with the Kangaroos," Hrovat said.

"It is always tough to make these kinds of decisions, and we wish all four girls the best for their future endeavours."

The Kangaroos have also delisted Lucy Burke but are committed to re-selecting her in Monday’s 2023 AFLW Draft if she is still available.
