Ellie Gavalas will depart the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos following a three-way trade between the Kangaroos, Western Bulldogs and Carlton.
Gavalas heads to the Bulldogs, while the Kangaroos receive pick No.25 from Carlton in next week’s 2023 AFLW Draft.
The 27-year-old made her AFLW debut in Round 1, 2020 against Melbourne and went on to play 41 games in the royal blue and white, including eight in 2023.
She was also a member of the side’s leadership group last year.
North Melbourne head of women’s football Nathan Hrovat thanked Gavalas for her contribution to the club over the past five seasons.
"Ellie has been a much-loved member of the playing group since arriving at Arden Street ahead of the 2020 season," Hrovat said.
"We thank her for everything she has given to our program both on and off the field during her five seasons here, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter at the Bulldogs."
The Kangaroos landed two-time All Australian defender Libby Birch on Monday, while also moving up the draft order in a separate four-way trade.
The club's 2023 draft hand is now picks No.25, 35, 38, 47 and 77.
