North Melbourne has appointed Brett Gourley as its VFLW senior coach for 2024.
Gourley returned to Arden Street earlier this year as the club’s new AFLW head of development after a stint as an AFLW assistant coach at North Melbourne from 2019-2021 and at Essendon in 2022.
A teacher by trade, he has also held assistant and development coaching roles at AFL Victoria and the Calder Cannons.
"Brett has made a notable impact on our AFLW program this season, so we are delighted to have him step into the role of VFLW senior coach," North Melbourne head of women’s football Nathan Hrovat said.
"We look forward to seeing what he achieve with the side in 2024."
Gourley replaces Steph Binder who departed the club at the end of the 2023 VFLW season to pursue a coaching opportunity with Collingwood’s AFLW program.
North Melbourne’s VFLW side returns for pre-season this week.
