North Melbourne legends Brent Harvey and Michael Firrito will present the club's newest recruits with their guernseys at the AFL Draft on Monday night.
Firrito, affectionately known as 'Spud' to the North Melbourne faithful, joined the Kangaroos via the rookie draft in 2002.
He played 275 games for the club including seven finals campaigns in 14 seasons under former coaches Dani Laidley and Brad Scott, taking North as far as the preliminary final in 2007, 2014 and 2015.
An uncompromising defender, he was chosen to inherit the club's famous No.11 guernsey after Shinboner of the Century Glenn Archer retired.
The Kangaroos selected Harvey with pick No.47 in the 1995 AFL Draft, and the man they called 'Boomer' went on to break the AFL record for games played.
He played 432 games for the Kangaroos across 21 seasons, including the 1999 AFL premiership, and kicked 518 goals.
Harvey's son Cooper followed in his famous father's footsteps by making his debut for the club in Round 17 this season.
"Brent and Michael personify what it is to be a Shinboner," North Melbourne general manager of football Todd Viney said.
"Both came to AFL footy the hard way - as late draft or rookie selections.
"Through sheer hard work and dedication they became greats of the North Melbourne Football Club.
"Boomer became a five-time Syd Barker medallist and the AFL’s games record-holder.
"And Spud received his era's greatest honour at North Melbourne - chosen by Shinboner of the Century Glenn Archer to inherit his famous No.11 guernsey.
"So this is a fitting honour for them tonight.
"We also want to use them as an example for our newest draftees - you can achieve great things by living and breathing the values of our great Shinboners of the past."
The Kangaroos hold five first-round picks going into the 2023 draft's opening night, including picks No.2 and 3 as they stand.
