Quotes
“I am very thankful for the physios and for the sports science guys who have got me in pretty good shape.” – Tarrant speaking about the continuity in his game
“He’s improved so much and he’s our best defender now. He’s a big boy and he can take those big guys.” – Scott Thompson praising Robbie Tarrant
What the coach said – Brad Green
“To not know a hell of a lot about Robbie before I came here, and then to see his effort and output he puts on the training track, and then the actual talent that he’s got.
“It was all about getting his body right and consistency through training. Then that manoeuvred into game day and he just got better and better as the season went on.
“He played on all the best players and the majority of the time he beat them and that’s all you can ask.
“Now the challenge for Robbie is to do it again and repeat 2016 in 2017. Down the track I see great potential with his leadership, to hopefully one day get in the leadership group.”
