In a round celebrating the contribution of Indigenous players to the game, Lindsay Thomas was back to his best.

The small-forward booted five goals against the Crows, though there was one that stood out.

During the first quarter Thomas ran to the back of a pack after a contest, gathered the ball brilliantly with one hand, ducked under opponent Luke Brown, then had the presence of mind to go with his opposite foot and dribble a goal.

"I reckon the Krakouer brothers, Jimmy and Phil would have said 'we used to do that'. That's a Krakouer goal isn't it," commentator Bruce McAvaney said at the time.

Thomas' effort has been nominated for the British Paints Goal of the Year.
