North Melbourne's new $15 million home at Arden Street is only weeks away from being completed and the groundbreaking Learning and Life Centre will be up and running in early 2010.

Competition amongst the club’s members and supporters is fierce as the race to name the unique oval shaped classroom at the new facility intensifies.

After launching its ‘Name the Classroom’ competition just a week ago, kangaroos.com.au has been inundated with entries from over 500 fans who are all hoping to make their mark on a new era at Arden Street.

Pam from Rye has sought inspiration from the White House, ‘The Oval Office’ her name of choice, while Lynn from Essendon believes the name should be in honor of a club champion, proposing ‘The Archer Institution’ as the place to host thousands of local students and adults from all walks of life.

The ‘KangaROOm’ was submitted by several entrants, while New South Wales member Noel put forward ‘The Troo Learning Centre’ paying heed to the club's popular 2009 membership slogan.

Some of the other interesting entries so far include Shaun's contribution ‘Hop-ortunity Hall’, Jess' idea of ‘Leaps and Bounds’ and Dean's proposal ‘Kangaroo Campus’.

With great prizes including a party at Intencity for 20 people, a pair of X-Blades football boots and a North Melbourne signed jumper still up for grabs, post your idea now to go into the running.

You only need to enter the competition once to be in with a chance to win.
