North Melbourne has opened up a list spot by moving small forward Jack Mahony to the inactive list, meaning it will have pick No.2 in Wednesday's AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

Mahony suffered a shoulder injury in the Round 9 loss to Port Adelaide which required season-ending surgery.

In last season's mid-season draft the Kangaroos selected Williamstown defender Kallan Dawson, who has played four AFL games since debuting in Round 20, 2022.

The 2023 Mid-Season Rookie Draft will be held on Wednesday, May 31 and be broadcast live and exclusively on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.
