North Melbourne has locked in two changes ahead of its Round 11 clash with the league-leading Magpies at Marvel Stadium.

Interim senior coach Brett Ratten and the match committee have opted to bring in Charlie Lazzaro after his standout VFL performance against Casey.

The young midfielder notched seven tackles, six inside 50s, a goal and a game-high 33 disposals in the 15-point defeat to the Demons and will make his first AFL appearance on Sunday since he came on as the substitute against the Saints in Round 8.

Forward Cam Zurhaar will also return to the team after missing the three-point loss to Sydney last Saturday due to a cheekbone injury.

Veteran Liam Shiels was ruled out earlier this week due to a delayed concussion and will miss the match with Collingwood, while forwards Blake Drury and Paul Curtis have been omitted, but will both be emergencies in line for the tactical substitute role.
