Tonight North Melbourne returns to Friday night footy for the second time in 2016 and faces arguably its biggest test yet, coming up against the Sydney Swans at the SCG.
It will prove a difficult task no doubt, but the Roos will look to rise to the occasion as they have done all year so far and that may mean big fantasy scores for some of North’s leaders.
One in particular to watch this week will be Jack Ziebell who has been playing the best football of his career in 2016 and putting up solid fantasy scores as a result.
He has four scores of 100+ from nine games so far this season and is averaging just a tick under 100, his best fantasy average in any season to date.
Also of interest to fantasy coaches will be Daniel Wells who makes his way back into the side this week after missing the last two matches against Essendon and Carlton.
Wells has been a solid fantasy option across the start to the season with a few lowish scores mixed in alongside otherwise exemplary ones.
A big game from him would go a long way towards a North Melbourne victory tonight.
Jarrad Waite is another who will be looked to as a leader capable of turning the game and the same goes for Todd Goldstein. Both have been in fine form this season and will look to produce on the big stage.
But it won’t be just the experienced players leading the way for North, one to look at closely this week is Trent Dumont, who had a solid score of 76 against Carlton and will look to keep up his good form.
At $249,000 in AFL Fantasy he could prove to be a good investment particularly now while Ben Jacobs is absent, leaving a spot in the team open.
