Midfielder Hugh Greenwood has been locked in as the substitute for North Melbourne's clash with the Brisbane Lions.

The Kangaroos will take on the Lions in Mount Barker for the AFL's first ever Gather Round, where all 18 teams will play matches in South Australia over one weekend.

Greenwood also acted as the substitute last week against Carlton when he came on in the third quarter to replace Ben Cunnington.

Joining Greenwood in the team are key defensive pillars Ben McKay and Griffin Logue, with Aiden Bonar and Paul Curtis going out of the side.
