It will be an afternoon of high profile returns at Victoria Park on Saturday.
Daniel Wells will make his long anticipated comeback in his first match since mid April, set to play approximately 50 per cent of the match with North Ballarat.
On the other side of the fence, Collingwood’s Brent Macaffer will make his first appearance in almost 12 months after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament late in 2014.
Overall there could be up to nine Kangaroos in action, with Max Warren and Aaron Mullett named in the 22. The former was the game day emergency for North’s clash against Melbourne, while the latter was omitted after starting as the substitute.
Trent Dumont and Brad McKenzie were both in fine form last week, with 58 disposals between the duo. With the midfielders looking to break into the Kangaroos’ side before a potential September appearance, they’ll need to continue amassing similar numbers along with Ryan Bastinac.
They’ll be opposed by a strong Collingwood line-up; 16 of the starting 18 positions are filled by AFL-listed players, with further strength in depth on the bench.
Joel Tippett’s excellent form down back will be tested. The Magpies are coming off a 21-goal outing and have a variety of options in front of goal.
Meanwhile Werribee has the bye this week, meaning several Roos will enjoy a weekend off.
