2022 Season 7 All-Australian captain Jasmine Garner has topped the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos' count for the AFLW Best and Fairest at the W Awards with 12 votes.

Despite having an incredible individual campaign, the No.25 didn't poll a vote until Round 5's match-up against the Western Bulldogs when she received best-on-ground plaudits thanks to her 26 disposals, 11 inside 50s and nine clearances.

She went onto record three more best-on-ground performances against Sydney, Port Adelaide and Collingwood, but couldn’t quite make up the ground on the leaders as the count drew to a close.

Including finals, Garner finished Season 7 ranked first in the League for inside 50s per game (5.2), second for metres gained per game (397) and equal third for score involvements per game (4.3) in what was perhaps the most commanding season of her career so far.

Behind Garner was veteran defender and now seven-time All-Australian Emma Kearney with eight votes. The club captain claimed maximum votes in Round 1's dominant victory over the Suns and in Round 7's narrow loss to potential premiers Brisbane.

Ball-magnet Ash Riddell was one behind her skipper with seven total votes. Riddell averaged 22.2 touches a game and 3.8 clearances per game and was awarded three votes after a standout performance under the MCG's bright lights in Round 2.

All-Australian extended squad member Jenna Bruton equalled her Season 6 total with six votes, while towering forward line pair Emma King and Tahlia Randall polled two votes and one vote respectively in Round 6's 66-point win over the Swans.
