With just two rounds remaining in Season 7, star midfielder Jas Garner has slightly extended her lead atop the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award leaderboard.

Garner provided North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos fans with a masterclass on Saturday against the Power, racking up 27 disposals, six inside 50s, nine marks, five tackles and two goals to poll a maximum 10 votes.

From her disposal tally, she recorded 717 metres gained - the second most metres gained achieved by an AFLW player in one game.

Emma Kearney was awarded eight votes after gathering 20 disposals and seven intercepts.

The captain, as she has been at times throughout Season 7, was thrown into the middle after half-time as Darren Crocker and the Roos looked to put Port's youthful midfield to the sword.

Jenna Bruton collected 15 disposals and five tackles to poll three votes in her 50th game, while fellow midfielder Ash Riddell received two votes after her 21-disposal and five-clearance performance.

Port Adelaide's Hannah Ewings polled three votes, while her teammates Ella Boag and Angela Foley were awarded two each.
