The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have made one change heading into their Round 4 match against the Cats.

Experienced defender Danielle Hardiman has been called upon to replace Amy Smith who entered concussion protocols last weekend.

Having shaken off a knee injury, Hardiman will feature at the AFLW level for the first time since last season's knockout qualifying final against Fremantle.

With Hardiman slotting into defence, the versatile Brooke Brown may see more playing time on a wing after playing the first three rounds in the backline.

Brown's athleticism will allow her to transition up and down the ground without issue, while her height will be beneficial for rebounding defenders looking for a marking target down the line.

Ella Maurer, Charli Granville and Hannah Bowey have been name as the emergencies for the second of two Indigenous Round match-ups.
