North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos star midfielder Jasmine Garner has earned a perfect 10 votes in the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player Award after a terrific season-opening performance against Gold Coast on Saturday.

In what was her 50th game in the league, Garner gathered a game-high 27 disposals along with six clearances and six inside-50s.

Emma Kearney, who also played her 50th game, was awarded six votes while forward Tahlia Randall was given eight votes after her career-high day that included three goals.

Mia King and Nicole Bresnehan were allocated two votes each with Suns players Charlie Rowbottom and Lauren Bella rounding out the voting with one apiece.

Garner also earned a Round 1 AFLPA MVP nomination thanks to her influential outing.

The 28-year-old claimed the AFLPA MVP Award back in 2020 in a season that saw her reap the benefits after moving to the midfield.
