Five North Melbourne players received votes from the two senior coaches on Saturday night.

In an extremely even spread, there were seven players all up to earn votes – Josh Jenkins and Scott Thompson from Adelaide rounding the cast out.

Todd Goldstein was the highest-polling Kangaroo, with six votes getting him off to a flying start. The ruckman led all teammates in the AFLCA award in 2015.

Ben Cunnington was one of two North midfielders to poll five votes. The 24-year-old had a team-high 27 disposals, of which 23 were contested – a career-high.

Alongside Cunnington was Jack Ziebell, who collected 26 disposals of his own to go with seven clearances.

Robbie Tarrant’s game was described as ‘terrific’ by Brad Scott, so perhaps it’s no surprise to see the key defender receiving four votes. Jarrad Waite also came in for praise from the North coach, and ended with two votes.
