North Melbourne Kangaroos defender Bailey Scott has been selected in the AFL Players' Association 22Under22 40-man squad.
The 22Under22 team is a fan-voted concept that recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season.
Scott, 22, is having a career-best season in the royal blue and white stripes and played his 50th game in the epic four-point win over Richmond where he laid a game-saving tackle.
For a player to be eligible to be selected in the squad they must have played a minimum of 11 games throughout 2022.
Chair of Selectors, Michael Barlow, and an internal selection panel at the AFL Players’ Association selects a squad of 40 players, with support from Champion Data.
Fans then have the opportunity to decide the final 22 by voting on the 22Under22 platform.
The fan whose team is the best matched to the final team wins a framed 22Under22 jumper signed by the Captain and Vice-Captain and their choice of either Apple AirPods Pro or Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, thanks to Snaffle.
Voting is open for seven days from August 10 to August 17 and the final team will be announced on August 23.
