Season seven of AFLW is just around the corner and with less than eight weeks until commencement of the season, we have a locked in fixture list.

With the 18-team competition, the AFLW Finals series will increase from three to four weeks and will feature the top eight teams, and a single ladder will be in place for the season.

The first game of the season sees the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos travel to Hobart to take on the Suns at Blundstone Arena. With eight new players on North’s books ahead of the new campaign, it’s highly likely the clash will offer fans their first look at some of the next generation of exciting talent.

Our rivalry with the Demons continues in Round 2 and, for the first time in history, North will be taking them on at a venue other than Casey Fields - the clash is set to take place at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne.

Another key highlight of this season’s fixture will be the third annual AFLW Indigenous Round across Rounds 3 and 4 where the Roos will take on the reigning premier Crows (Wigan Oval - time TBC) and then Geelong (UTAS Stadium).

All Saturday games across September will be floating times to allow for double-header opportunities to coincide with the AFL Finals series.

Melbourne-based fans will have to wait until Round 6 for the first game at Arden Street. The first guests to our spiritual home will expansion side Sydney, whose list contains former Kangaroo Lexi Hamilton, along with former North VFLW players Sarah Skinner and Molly Eastman.

THE CLASS OF 2022 North's five new AFLW draftees

The Kangaroos only take on one more of the four new expansion sides this season, with a trip to Alberton Oval to take on the Power and reigning North VFLW best and fairest winner Liz McGrath awaiting the side in Round 8 which will also be Pride Round.

North and Collingwood have formed one of the most intense on-field rivalries since AFLW began, and with a Round 9 clash awaiting the two sides another chapter looks certain to be written. With the game coming at such a late stage of the home and away season, it could have a big impact on the finals hopes of both teams.

The final home and away game of the season will return to Arden Street this season, with a clash with the Tigers rounding out the campaign in the floating fixture.
