Although North Melbourne didn’t enjoy its finest performance of the season in Geelong, there were still some strong efforts from a fantasy perspective.
North Media has analysed the best fantasy performances from the clash with the Cats.
Shaun Higgins | Week 12 Score - 123 | Average - 94.5 | $641,000 (+25k/-$24k season) | Ownership - 0.65%
Shaun Higgins keeps showing everyone why he is now rated among the game’s elite.
Higgins was clearly North’s best player, having 30 disposals and kicking 2 goals, despite being up against arguably the best midfield in the competition.
A three-round average of 113.7 puts Higgins in as good as form as anyone, and he could be a fantastic point of difference in your team after North’s bye.
Ben Cunnington | Week 12 Score - 87 | Average - 92.9 | $626,000 (-$17k/+$6k season) | Ownership - 0.64%
Along with Higgins, Cunnington has been North Melbourne’s most consistent performer in 2018.
The tough midfielder had another 22 disposals and laid six tackles against the Cats.
Cunnington’s consistency makes him a midfielder you can rely on each week.
Todd Goldstein | Week 12 Score - 82 | Average - 83.9 | $562,000 (-$1k/-$48k season) | Ownership - 3.95%
Todd Goldstein is enjoying a return to form in 2018, and this continued against Geelong.
Goldstein won the majority of his hit-outs against opponent Rhys Stanley, and finished with 13 disposals and a goal.
Undoubtedly still one of the premiere ruckman in the AFL on his day, Goldstein could prove an astute addition to your team at his current price.
Jack Ziebell | Week 12 Score - 76 | Average - 82.7 | $539,000 (-$1k/-$123k season) | Ownership - 1.84%
With Jarrad Waite out of the side, Ziebell was required to provide more of a target going forward.
Ziebell ended the day with a goal and eight tackles for his score of 76.
The skipper has been a reliable scorer this season, and can be picked as either a forward or a midfielder.
Mason Wood | Week 12 Score - 75 | Average - 67 | $431,000 (-$1k/-$27k season) | Ownership - 1.22%
Mason Wood provided a strong second foil to Ben Brown on Saturday, who was kept quieter than usual by the Geelong defence.
Wood had 18 disposals, five marks and kicked an important goal to earn a score of 75.
The North number 32’s fantasy scores have been up and down this season, so it may be best to keep an eye on him for now.
With the Roos having the bye in Round 13, you are best to wait until next week before bringing any of its players into your squad.
