ET: Bring on North
Fremantle hasn't beaten North Melbourne away from home since 2003, but forward Chris Mayne is confident it could be his team's time to shine.
The Dockers sit just inside the eight, but with just two wins seperating the teams between sixth to tenth place on the ladder, Sunday's match is extremely important.
"It's going to be an enormous challenge for us, but that's why you play footy,” Mayne said on Monday.
One of the form sides of the competition, Fremantle has won six of its past seven games and taken home the four points in both of its matches at Etihad Stadium this season.
"You want the challenge and you want to be able to go over to Melbourne to Etihad Stadium where we have played well, and take on a team that is contending for finals," Mayne added.
"They've (the Kangaroos) got heaps of strengths. Their midfield's going really well, their forwards are kicking goals and their backs are stopping goals.
“At the moment, they're just a well balanced side."
Meanwhile, Matthew Pavlich has been backed to play by coach Ross Lyon despite receiving treatment for groin, hamstring and achilles tendon complaints in Saturday's win against Richmond.
