North Melbourne senior coach Brad Scott took a giant leap of faith today - and all in the name of membership.

The 33 year-old jumped out of an aircraft for a daring skydive with the Melbourne Skydive Centre in order to prompt North supporters into buying their memberships ahead of the 2010 season.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to get publicity for the club and promote membership,” Scott told kangaroos.com.au prior to the jump at Essendon Airport this morning.

“If our fans can see me doing something as crazy as this, surely they will be inspired enough to sign up and support us this year.”

Scott’s jump also helped Callaway promote their new range of Diablo Edge golf clubs which were recently launched.

Asked what the feeling was like just minutes after landing safely at the Albert Park Driving Range Scott replied, “It’s just unbelievable. It’s hard to describe but it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done and I’d encourage everyone to do it at some stage. The adrenaline is still pumping through my body and it’s an amazing rush. Putting my life in someone else’s hands is not something I usually do, but these guys are experts and I felt very safe and comfortable with them.”
